Hearing Australia

Building Brand Trust and Cut-Through in a Competitive Market

The Brief

Hearing Australia is the nation’s most trusted hearing provider, a title they’ve earned five times from Reader’s Digest. With a rich history and a strong national presence, they were facing growing competition in key markets and needed to reinforce their leadership. To complement their paid and creative campaigns, they partnered with Sauce Communications to maximise the impact of their earned and owned media.

Our Approach

Over 12 months, we worked closely with Hearing Australia to deliver multiple high-impact campaigns, including Auris Consumer Research, World Hearing Day, and the launch of XG and XH hearing aid products. Our strategy focused on building awareness and driving engagement through:

  • Leveraging deep consumer insights to shape messaging and refresh content for relevance

  • Developing comprehensive creative assets - video, stills, audio - featuring clients, experts, and product b-roll

  • Utilising exclusive headline statistics from Hearing Australia’s own research to attract media attention

  • Creating local case studies with ready-to-use Q&As, quotes, and imagery

  • Maintaining flexible media pitching to respond quickly to breaking news and opportunities, such as Channel 7 News and Radio 2GB

  • Timing media outreach to avoid crowded news cycles for maximum cut-through

  • Delivering regional events supported by tailored media strategies to reach local audiences

When new hearing aid technology launched in April 2025, Sauce led a PR-first product rollout, supported by internal communications, paid media content, and clinic education. Our flexible, localised approach ensured consistent national coverage while empowering clinics with tailored assets to engage their communities.
