After months of planning it was a thrill to see the inaugural AgriVictoria: State of Opportunity summit, followed by the third annual AGRICULTURE: The Heart of Victoria gala dinner, come to life.

To achieve this, our talented team worked closely with the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) and the Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF), who created both events.

More than 220 farmers and agribusiness professionals attended the AgriVictoria: State of Opportunity summit at Melbourne’s Park Hyatt, which challenged the industry to think outside the square.

Master of ceremonies Simon Talbot, National Farmers Federation CEO, opened the summit urging Australian agriculture to unite and evolve in order to capture the Asian food boom.

The summit continued in this vein, offering expert insights and advice for developing effective strategies to capitalise on new agricultural investment opportunities.

After a day of intellectual stimulation, many summit attendees joined close to 650 guests at Docklands to celebrate Victoria’s $11.4 billion agricultural industry at AGRICULTURE: The Heart of Victoria dinner.

The event’s flower-filled tables and colourful produce display from major sponsor Coles, evoked the scene of a vibrant market garden.

Under the guidance of master of ceremonies, Aussie swimming legend-turned-Angus-cattle-farmer, Giaan Rooney, guests enjoyed a show of woolen fashions and a feast of top quality local produce.

Victorian Agriculture and Regional Development Minister, the Hon Jaala Pulford, was among the guest speakers whose support reinforced a bright future for the state’s farming industries.

As Giaan Rooney said of the night: ‘Just a quick email to not only thank the Sauce team for a great night last night but to congratulate you as well! All the feedback has been so positive and it was such a well organised event from my perspective, would happily do it all over again.’
