Private companies. Government departments. Industry associations. Not-for-profit organisations. Sauce’s diverse PR expertise means we attract clients from all sectors, but our aim is always the same: to become a highly valued extension of your management, marketing or communications team, fully engaged in your organisation's success.
Communication strategies that are consistently superb. Clients that are always happy. At Sauce, that’s just the way we like it.
Melbourne-based research software developer QSR International exports to 150 countries and we’ve been managing their global PR strategy since 2006. This client’s favourite Sauce success is, not surprisingly, our PR support on the best product launch in their 10-year history, which achieved record-breaking sales. Close second is our winning submission for the 2008 Governor of Victoria Export Awards (ICT).
Responding to market forces, this big corporate client needed to downsize its operations – which had serious knock-on affects to its surrounding communities.
They enlisted Sauce to manage the media relations, internal liaison and stakeholder communications, throughout the whole change process. Sauce made sure there was minimal negative coverage, and maximum positive support - managing the PR function during the change implementation itself and the months that followed.
We were contracted in 2008 to manage the overhaul of a high profile ‘whole-of-government’ website, with the brief of developing a single comprehensive information portal for all related services, departments and audiences.
Sauce covered everything from content planning and information gathering, to strategic advice on voice, message and delivery. We re-worked or wrote new copy throughout the site, developed new pages and resources, plus we recommended enhancements to functionality and process.
In other words, we did what they asked…delivering powerful copy designed to make users stop, think and act on this important issue.
This client asked Sauce to handle all media relations and publicity for the inaugural International Millinery Forum, which took place in Australia in 2007.
We secured positive mentions on 323 radio frequencies, four television stations, two e-zines and nine print publications - with a combined circulation of more than 1,036,800 readers. Colour pieces ran in The Australian, The Canberra Times and the Sunday Telegraph, plus niche national and international media such as Ragtrader, The Hat Magazine and Hat Life. MTV and Sunrise also profiled the event….which continues to go from strength to strength.
Another ongoing client, Tourism Wagga Wagga, first briefed us in 2006 to perform a “pro-active” public relations strategy and raise their profile both locally and nationally.
In our first year we achieved more than 325 positive mentions on Wagga Wagga events and attractions – and that was just the beginning. Over the past three years, we’ve promoted every major event in the regional city – including the Gold Cup, Wagga Wagga Jazz and Blues, Australian International Animation and re:generate Youth festivals. Most recently Sauce was the driving force behind a 'famil' tour to the region, securing top journalists and resulting in significant national coverage on the Wagga Wagga visitor experience.
The RGA first contacted Sauce in 2007, wanting something special for their Annual Conference and Gala Dinner. In addition to what was widely described as a beautifully themed and executed event, Sauce also delivered record-breaking sponsorship and media coverage.
We were immediately contracted to take care of the 2008 and 2009 events, and we’ve been looking after most other media and public relations for the RGA ever since (including their acclaimed Environmental Champions Program).
When four government agencies, totalling 3,500 staff, announce they are to merge, it’s a safe bet that the processes involved will not be simple, or popular.
Liane helped these agencies ensure as smooth a transition as possible, by managing their internal communications during the first three months of the merger.
She developed briefing kits to assist managers communicate change, wrote the weekly staff newsletter, and provided strategic counsel to the executive team.
We can’t tell you who they are, where they work, or what they do.
What we can say is that if you watch the news, listen to the radio, attend corporate conferences, go to Government events – or simply have an interest in politics or business – then the chances are you’ve probably already been amused, motivated, reassured, or impressed by a Sauce speech.
